What free websites involves
A professional website normally needs a significant upfront investment. For many small businesses, tradespeople and new ventures, that cost is the reason they rely on Facebook alone or put up with an outdated site. The free website service removes that barrier.
You apply, we review your request, and if it fits the service we send you one straightforward form to tell us about your business: your services, the areas you cover, your contact details and any logo or photos you have. A person then shapes the content and layout around what your business actually offers. It is not an automatic generator, and we never publish invented reviews, qualifications or claims.
Once the website is live you can send one consolidated round of reasonable changes. After that you can leave it as it is, since hosting continues at no charge, or choose the optional Managed Website plan if you would like us to keep looking after it.
How do we pay for it? Some customers choose the optional Managed Website plan, and some later commission paid work such as ecommerce, booking systems, marketing or custom software. There is no requirement to buy anything, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Redesigns, substantial new pages, ecommerce, booking systems, custom functionality and integrations aren't part of either plan.
Business email isn't included
We don't provide or manage mailboxes. If we manage your DNS we can add the records your email provider gives you.
General IT support isn't included
Managed Website covers your website and its DNS, not PCs, printers, networks or Microsoft 365 administration.

Is the website actually free?
Yes. The design and build are free, and basic website hosting, SSL/HTTPS and a web address are included at no charge. There is nothing you need to pay for to get your site live.
What is the catch?
There is not a hidden one. We make money when customers voluntarily choose the optional Managed Website plan or commission separate paid work, not from the free website itself. There is no requirement to buy anything.
Who can apply?
Businesses, charities, clubs, community groups, freelancers and other legitimate projects across Northern Ireland. Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance: we review each one against the scope of the free service and our current capacity.
How long is hosting included for?
There is no set expiry date. Basic hosting and SSL are included free for as long as your website remains hosted with us, subject to fair use and our Terms. No uptime guarantee or service level applies to free hosting unless agreed in writing.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, as an optional paid extra. If you already own a domain it stays yours and we will connect it. If you would like us to buy one for you, we will manage it on your behalf and you remain its intended owner, with the right to have it transferred to your own account at any time. You cover registration and renewal costs.
Does it include business email?
No. We do not provide, host or manage mailboxes. You can use any provider, such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and if we manage your DNS we can add the records they give you. Your contact form works with whatever email address you already have.
Can I get changes made after launch?
Your free website includes one revision round: once it is live, send one consolidated list of reasonable changes and we will make them. Ongoing changes after that are part of the optional Managed Website plan, or can be quoted separately.
Does the free website include ecommerce or booking?
No. Ecommerce, booking systems, custom functionality, integrations and major redesigns are separate, individually quoted projects. We can often link to a booking platform you already use.
How many pages will my website have?
There is no fixed page count. The site is structured around what your business reasonably needs: a small service business might need a handful of pages, while a business with several services or locations may need more.
