What website maintenance involves
Websites are not finished when they launch. Content management systems, plugins and libraries need updating, security issues appear, forms stop working, and pages get slower as content grows. Left alone, small problems become expensive ones.
We maintain websites on a range of platforms, including WordPress and custom-built sites. Start with a health check: we review how the site is built and hosted, what is out of date, what is broken and what is at risk, and report back in plain English with priorities.
From there you can ask us to fix specific issues as a one-off piece of work, or set up an ongoing maintenance arrangement. For websites we host, the Managed Website plan is usually the simplest option. For larger estates or business-critical sites, managed support offers a broader arrangement.

How is this different from the Managed Website plan?
The Managed Website plan is a monthly service for websites we host, including free websites. Website maintenance covers any website, including ones built and hosted elsewhere, as one-off work or an ongoing arrangement.
Do you maintain WordPress websites?
Yes. We also maintain custom-built websites and many other platforms. If a site is built on something unusual we will tell you after the health check whether we can support it properly.
Can you fix a hacked website?
We can investigate, clean up and harden a compromised site, and restore from backups where available. Depending on what we find, rebuilding may be safer, and we will explain why.
Is maintenance priced monthly?
It can be either. One-off fixes are quoted individually, and ongoing maintenance is agreed as a monthly arrangement based on the size and complexity of the site.
