Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how our website and services work: what's included, what isn't, and how the free website, free hosting, the optional Managed Website plan and quoted projects operate.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of logicni.com and the services provided by Logic NI ("we", "us"). By submitting a form or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

Our services are intended for businesses, organisations and individuals acting for purposes relating to their trade, business or profession. Paid projects are also governed by the proposal, quote or agreement we send you; if that document conflicts with these Terms, the project document applies.

2. Using this website

  • Website content is for general information and doesn't constitute professional, legal or financial advice.
  • Solution concepts and interface illustrations are examples of what we can build; they are not client projects, and figures shown in them are example data.
  • You must not misuse the website, including by submitting automated, fraudulent or abusive form submissions, or attempting to access areas not intended for you.
  • Content on this website is owned by us or used with permission. You may share links but not reproduce substantial parts without permission.

3. The free website service

We design and build websites for eligible businesses at no upfront charge. Submitting a request does not guarantee that we will accept it.

  • We may accept or decline any request at our discretion, including based on the nature of the business, the scope requested or our capacity.
  • The scope, design and functionality of a free website are determined reasonably by us, based on what you tell us about your business. It is not an unlimited or open-ended specification.
  • Ecommerce, booking systems, custom functionality, integrations, major redesigns and other substantial development are outside the free service and may be quoted separately.
  • Your free website includes one revision round: once it's live, you can send one consolidated list of reasonable changes and we'll make them. Beyond that, the free service doesn't include ongoing changes or active management.
  • We may decline, pause or withdraw from a request that is abusive, unlawful, technically unreasonable, materially outside the intended scope, or where the customer doesn't reasonably cooperate.

4. Your content and responsibilities

  • You're responsible for the accuracy of information you give us, and for having the rights to logos, photos, text, testimonials and other material you supply.
  • To the extent permitted by law, you're responsible for claims arising from content you supply that infringes someone else's rights or is unlawful.
  • We may refuse to publish, or remove, content we reasonably believe is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or inappropriate.
  • We don't publish invented reviews, qualifications or claims. You're responsible for keeping business information on your website accurate.

5. Free hosting and SSL

Basic hosting and SSL/HTTPS are included at no charge for websites built under the free service, for as long as the website remains hosted with us. There is no fixed expiry date, but this is not an unconditional guarantee.

  • If you move your website elsewhere, free hosting ends. There's no cancellation fee. Re-hosting later isn't guaranteed.
  • We may suspend or remove a website where necessary for security, abuse, legal reasons, excessive resource use, requirements of our infrastructure providers or a breach of these Terms.
  • No uptime guarantee or service level agreement applies to free hosting unless agreed in writing.
  • Hosting relies on third-party infrastructure. We aren't responsible for outages outside our reasonable control, and may migrate websites between providers.
  • If we end hosting for reasons other than your choice, we'll aim to give you a reasonable opportunity to obtain a copy of your website where practical.

6. Domains and email

  • Free websites are provided on a complimentary web address. A custom domain is optional and is a paid extra.
  • If you already own a domain, it remains yours. If we register one on your behalf, we manage it for you and you remain its intended owner; we'll take reasonable steps to transfer it to your own account on request.
  • You're responsible for domain registration and renewal costs. We aren't responsible for a domain lapsing due to non-renewal or inaccurate registrant details.
  • We don't provide, host or administer business email or mailboxes. Where we manage DNS, we can add records your email provider supplies.

7. The Managed Website plan

The Managed Website plan is an optional paid service. It isn't required to receive or keep a free website, free hosting or SSL. It currently includes active website management, monitoring, backups, ongoing maintenance, domain/DNS management assistance, contact form maintenance, basic analytics, occasional small content changes and priority website-related support.

  • "Small content changes" means minor updates such as changing text, opening hours, a small number of images, contact information, a testimonial or minor service or price information, on a fair, reasonable-use basis. It doesn't include redesigns, substantial new pages, ecommerce, booking systems, custom functionality or integrations.
  • No particular response or turnaround time is guaranteed unless agreed in writing.
  • The plan covers your website and its DNS records. It isn't general IT support, email hosting or a managed service provider arrangement.
  • The plan is billed monthly in advance at the price confirmed to you before you subscribe. There's no minimum term. You can cancel at any time by email, effective at the end of the current paid period. Payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires.
  • If you stop the plan, your website stays on free basic hosting under these Terms.
  • We may change the plan's future price or scope with reasonable advance notice, and you may cancel before a change takes effect.

8. Quoted projects and ongoing services

  • Websites, software, automation, integrations, design, marketing and support beyond the free service are provided under a written proposal or quote setting out scope, price, payment stages and timescales.
  • Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. There's no obligation to proceed after receiving a quote.
  • Changes to agreed scope may affect price and timescales; we'll agree any change with you in writing first.
  • Third-party costs, such as advertising spend, domain registration, software subscriptions, payment processing fees and AI usage charges, are paid separately unless the quote says otherwise.
  • Ongoing services (for example marketing management, maintenance or retained support) continue on the terms and notice periods set out in their agreement.
  • Projects depend on timely information, approvals and access from you. If these are delayed, timescales may move, and we may pause work after reasonable attempts to contact you.

9. Ownership and intellectual property

  • Content you supply remains yours. You grant us a licence to use it to deliver the services.
  • Unless a project agreement says otherwise, and subject to payment of amounts due, you receive the right to use the completed website or system for your business. Where agreed in writing, ownership of bespoke code can be transferred to you.
  • We keep ownership of our pre-existing and generic materials, such as templates, components, libraries and internal tools, and may reuse them.
  • Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences.
  • Unless you ask us not to, we may show your website in our portfolio. We publish case studies about your business only with your permission.

10. No guaranteed results

  • We don't guarantee any search engine ranking, indexing, traffic, enquiries, sales or other business outcome, whatever service you use.
  • Search engines, advertising platforms and other third parties change their systems and policies independently. We aren't responsible for the effect of those changes.
  • AI-based features can produce incorrect output. Where we build them, they are designed with appropriate human review; you remain responsible for decisions made using them.

11. Security, backups and data

  • We take reasonable steps to keep the websites and systems we build and host secure, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure or fault-free.
  • Backups for free-tier websites aren't guaranteed. Backups provided under a paid plan reduce, but don't eliminate, the risk of data loss.
  • Forms rely on third-party email delivery, which can occasionally fail or be delayed.
  • Where we process personal data on your behalf as part of a project, we'll agree appropriate data processing terms with you.

12. Limitation of liability

  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
  • Subject to that, our total liability arising from the services is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100 if you haven't paid us anything.
  • We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings or goodwill.
  • If you're a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

13. Events outside our control, suspension and termination

We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Either of us may stop the free website or Managed Website services subject to the sections above. We may suspend or end services immediately where reasonably necessary for security or legal reasons, non-payment, or a material breach of these Terms.

14. Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these Terms; the version on this page applies, and we'll aim to give reasonable notice of material changes. These Terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections.

If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing a right on one occasion doesn't waive it. Questions: hello@logicni.com or our contact page.
