What hosting & infrastructure involves
Most small business websites do not need expensive servers. They need fast, secure, reliable hosting that is set up correctly: HTTPS everywhere, a content delivery network, sensible caching, backups and someone who notices if it goes down.
Applications have different requirements: databases, background jobs, file storage, environments for testing and production, and secure handling of credentials. We design infrastructure proportionate to the application, using established providers, without unnecessary complexity or cost.
We also help with domains and DNS: registering or transferring domains, connecting them to your website, adding records for your email provider and fixing configuration problems. Your domain remains yours.
We document every hosting arrangement we set up: where the site or application lives, how it's deployed, where backups are kept, which domains point where and who has access. If you ever move to another provider, the handover is straightforward rather than an investigation.

Process
How we work
- 01
Review
We look at what you have, how it is hosted and what condition it is in, and tell you honestly what needs attention.
- 02
Onboard
Access, backups, monitoring and documentation are set up so nothing depends on guesswork.
- 03
Maintain
Updates, security patches and small changes are handled on a regular schedule.
- 04
Respond
When something breaks or needs changing, you have one place to ask and a clear record of what was done.
- 05
Improve
We suggest improvements when they are worth making, and quote them separately where they are larger pieces of work.
FAQs
Common questions
More answers on our FAQ page, or ask us directly.
Which hosting providers do you use?
We use established infrastructure providers chosen to suit each project, typically modern cloud platforms with global content delivery. We avoid overselling complex set-ups.
Do you host email?
No. We do not provide mailboxes. We can add the DNS records your email provider (for example Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) gives you.
Who owns my domain?
You do. Domains we register on your behalf are managed for you, and you can ask for them to be transferred to your own account at any time.
Is free hosting the same as paid hosting?
Free hosting is included with the free website service on our standard infrastructure, without an uptime guarantee. Paid hosting arrangements for larger websites and applications are scoped to their requirements and can include agreed service levels.
