Software & Applications

Software built around how your business actually works.

When off-the-shelf software does not fit, businesses end up bending their process around it, or running everything through spreadsheets and email. We design and build bespoke applications that fit the way you work, and grow with you.

What software & applications covers

Off-the-shelf software is often the right answer, and we will say so when it is. But many businesses have a process that is just different enough: how they take bookings, quote jobs, schedule staff, manage hire stock or serve customers. That is where bespoke software earns its keep.

We build web-based applications that run in a browser on any device, so there is nothing to install. Typical projects bring together customers, bookings, jobs, documents, payments and reporting in one place, with different access for staff, managers and customers.

Every project is treated as proper software development: requirements agreed in writing, a design you can click through before it is built, iterative development with regular demos, automated testing for the parts that matter, secure hosting and documentation. Bespoke software is quoted individually; we do not publish fixed prices because no two systems are the same.

Problems we solve

Sound familiar?

  • Spreadsheets everywhere

Critical information lives in spreadsheets that are copied, emailed and out of date.

  • Software that almost fits

Paying for several subscriptions that each do part of the job and do not talk to each other.

  • Admin that does not scale

Every new customer or job adds manual work, so growth means more admin staff.

  • No single view

Owners and managers cannot see bookings, jobs, money and performance in one place.

Process

How we work

  1. 01

    Discovery

We learn how your business works, who your customers are and what the project needs to achieve. No jargon, no obligation.

  2. 02

    Planning

We agree scope, priorities, content and timescales in writing, so you know exactly what is being built and what it costs.

  3. 03

    Design

Layouts and interfaces are designed around your customers and your brand, then reviewed with you before development starts.

  4. 04

    Development

We build with modern, maintainable technology, sharing progress as we go rather than disappearing for weeks.

  5. 05

    Testing

Every form, payment, integration and page is tested across devices and browsers, including accessibility and performance checks.

  6. 06

    Launch

We handle hosting, domains, SSL and redirects, and make sure search engines can find the new site or system properly.

  7. 07

    Support

After launch you can keep us on for hosting, maintenance and improvements, or take it in-house. It is your choice.

FAQs

Common questions

More answers on our FAQ page, or ask us directly.

How much does custom software cost?

It depends entirely on scope: a focused internal tool is a very different project from a multi-user platform with payments and integrations. We quote individually after a discovery conversation, and can usually suggest a smaller first phase that delivers value sooner.

Would off-the-shelf software be cheaper?

Sometimes, and we will tell you if it is. If an established product fits your process well, we can help you set it up and connect it to your website instead of building something new.

How long does a software project take?

Small tools can take a few weeks; larger systems are usually delivered in phases over several months. We agree a realistic timeline at the planning stage and share progress throughout.

What happens after launch?

Ongoing support, hosting and further development can be agreed separately. Software maintenance keeps the system secure and up to date; retained development lets you keep improving it.
